Nothing reaches a customer without a person
A broadcast, reply or order update it prepares waits in Hella until someone on your team approves it. That is how it starts.
Auto-replies it builds start switched off
So a person looks at each one before it messages anyone.
You choose who may connect
The owner decides which teammates may connect an AI app, and each app can do only what that person can do in Hella.
It never sees your password
You sign in on Hella's own page and press Allow. Disconnect any app whenever you like.
Old requests expire
Anything nobody approves within seven days is dropped, instead of going out at the wrong moment.
A record of everything
Hella keeps a list of what each AI app did, when, and who approved it.
Setting it up
Three steps, none of them technical.
- 01Switch it on in HellaOpen AI Assistant from the Hella menu, switch it on, and pick who on your team may use it.
- 02Add Hella to your AI appPaste Hella's address into your AI app's connectors. The steps for each app are below.
- 03Press AllowHella opens and shows which business the app will work in. Press Allow and start asking.
Your app

Claude
On Claude's website or desktop app.
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector, name it Hella and paste the address.
- Press Connect, check the business in the Hella window, and press Allow.
ChatGPT
Needs a paid ChatGPT plan and the ChatGPT website. OpenAI calls this Developer mode.
- Open Settings, then Apps, and switch on Developer mode under Advanced settings.
- Create an app named Hella, paste the address and choose OAuth for signing in.
- Check the business in the Hella window and press Allow.
Gemini
In the Gemini app this works only in the US, with a personal Google account, for now. Gemini CLI works everywhere.
- In the Gemini app on the web, open Settings, then Connected apps, and choose Add a custom app.
- Paste the address, check the business in the Hella window and press Allow.
- Outside the US, the AI Assistant page in Hella has the lines to paste into Gemini CLI.
Other AI apps
Any AI app that accepts MCP connectors can use the same address.
- Find Connectors, Integrations or MCP in the app's settings and paste the address.
- If the app signs in, Hella opens for you to press Allow.
- If it asks for a key instead, make a personal key on the AI Assistant page in Hella.
Before you connect anything
AI Assistant questions, answered plainly.
Do I need to be technical to connect ChatGPT or Claude to Hella?
No. For Claude and ChatGPT you paste one address into the app and press Allow in Hella. There is no code, and you never share your password with the AI app.
Can ChatGPT or Claude message my customers through Hella on its own?
Not unless you allow it. From the start, every broadcast, reply or order update the AI app prepares waits in Hella until someone on your team approves it, and you can switch any kind of action off entirely.
What can a connected AI app see in Hella?
Only what the person who connected it can see, and only the parts of Hella you leave switched on. If a teammate cannot open orders in Hella, their AI app cannot either.
How do I disconnect an AI app from Hella?
Switch the AI Assistant off in Hella and every connected app stops at once. You can also disconnect a single app, or take one person off the list of who may connect one.
Is Hella's AI Assistant an MCP connector?
Yes. MCP is the common way AI apps connect to other software. Hella's address is hella.shankhlabs.com/mcp, and signing in uses OAuth, so the AI app never receives your password.
